1999 - Qbit (CD-R) I don’t think these Qbit releases ever had art. At this time performing meant bringing a bunch of gear to a rave to pretend to be DJ. Yes, I said right, I was making the music that DJs play, but DJ culture was so new and popular at the time that in order to perform, I had to be billed as “DJ Qbit” or “DJ Flashbulb”, then sell these CDs as “DJ mixes”, even though they were original material. For some reason I thought of this as a pretty good strategy, not realizing the tragic irony of it. Between 97’ and 99’ I honestly think I made somewhere around 300-400 tracks, some of which would find their way to these random discs.
