One of my favorite records and mixes well with Donna Summer's I Feel Love.

OK, this is an imaginitive release that has all the elements of the "Berlin" sound of techno and a few elements of well, nothing I've ever heard before. Long before it became so routine to sample out of movies said producer's favorite soundbites and most often, little quotes, producers went out of their way to sample nondescript, abstract, idiosynchratic sounds or noises. This record has them. And those noises are used to become rhythmic elements of the tune at hand. This may or may not be "innovative", depending on your ideals, but I sure get bored with everybody's favorite movie moments and find it awful refreshing to hear these idiosynchratic bits of sound used as instruments of rhythm. This release falls somewhere between great early Berlin techno craftwork and moderate "DJ tool", it's not 100% of either or both, but it does serve to dish up some fresh early perspectives in techno soundforgery. Well worth the $5.00 I paid for it! Pick a mix, I always like the original best myself, but different DJs will find usefulness in the other mixes as well. Check it. Use it. Play it!
