Track A1, "Silence", was originally titled "Wicca". Its opening is a sample of Claudio Campos, a Capoeira master, speaking in Portuguese. He recites an adaptation of the Wiccan precept of the Threefold Law which translates back to English as:
"Be aware to the rule of thirds. What you give will return to you. You have to learn this lesson. You only receive what you deserve."

Gathris
I was lucky to get a flat one but sounds much too bright and over compressed. Lot's of surface noise throughout. It gave me listener fatigue.
Kagalkree
My copy sounds fine (distorted though) - it does not do justice to the album but it sounds alright, no noise whatsoever, few clicks though.
Dagdage
Same as other reviews. No warps but surface noise throughout.
Arcanefist
My copy of this release is warped enough to be heard. Surface noise and pops throughout. Modest soundstage. Good bottom end and the high frequencies are crisp. Unfortunately, the pressing is so noisy and distracting it's hard to enjoy this album. I do not recommend this release. They should have limited this edition to zero copies. (Rega Planar 3, Exact 2 cart, PSE Studio SL, Linn LK85, Linn interconnects, Linn Katans)
Grari
"They should have limited this edition to zero copies". That right there was funny. :)Bummer it was such a bad pressing.
Velellan
Both discs very warped, also crackles and pops all over the place. Such a shame, because it's a great album.
Raniconne
Mine warped very easily. Had the slightest pressure and now there's a corner on the second disc.
GAMER
No warps on mine but surface looks matt & grubby & loads of pops / clicks in quieter parts, hoping a good clean on the machine will improve but, a cheap copy all the same
Fog
my copy is great no warp no surface noise dont know why people complain about the album is great, limited edition = 45rpm got it for 10$ fantastic price
Yadon
Consistent noise throughout. Especially on The Rip. I only paid about $10 for this so I can't really complain but if you're on the fence don't bother.
Thomeena
Terrible pressing. Both records were warped. The records look very dull and dirty to the eye and sound awful. sent it back and replaced it. The second one I received was just as bad. Definitely one to avoid.
Gralinda
Does anyone know in what way (if any), this version is "limited"? Not much seems to differentiate it from any of the other versions.
Majin
Not a great pressing. Some noise. Vinyl surface was dirty and Slightly warped right out of shrink wrap.
Faezahn
I got this from Amazon US and both LPs were warped. A bit disappointed. But at least the records play.
Jozrone
I have this version and it sounds great&the vinyl seems decent. Maybe it was just the first copies that were defective?I also wonder why it says limited edition when it doesnt seem very limited at all..
Garne
AVOID THIS, get the uk release instead :)
Pryl
Was missing a download card with my version. Haven't experienced the warped vinyl.
Kulalbine
Avoid the Mercury vinyl edition. Sound quality is subpar - sounds muffled. Go for the UK release instead.
Tinavio
Got a B0011141-01 ST03 of the LP What's the difference between JK02 and ST03 ?
Tolrajas
After listening to this version, I'm starting to think the JK stands for "Just Kidding".
Made-with-Love
My lp is also curved. Angry.
Realistic
ya mine is warped as well, im probably gonna return it :/ this is agrivating, i love portishead
Pad
yeah, mine to.also, not the best sound quality to be honest
Wetiwavas
I love this record, but when purchase this edition both lp are curved, could it be a defective manufactured, something have a same fail it's a plain shame. It's a USA edition 0251764104
Phenade
While this is an amazing album, the packaging is not so much to be desired. I guess during the printing and packaging process not much care was put into them. When i opened up the shrink wrap i noticed the cover was warped and there were large creases on the inside of the gatefold. The vinyl seems to be in great condition but i have read stories of warped vinyl as well as warped covers. Shame on you mercury for placing a limited edition sticker on something so poorly constructed.
